At our next Italian book club meeting in Oxford we’ll be tackling Niccolo’ Ammanniti’s novel, I’m Not Scared (Io non ho paura). This is the book that made the author famous and that started a successful career not only in publishing but also in cinema.
As a heads up: our April meeting will be held on the 3rd of April and the title of the book we decided to read is Microcosmos (Microcosmi) by Claudio Magris. The book won the prestigious Premio Strega in 1997.
It’s nine short novels, or short journeys in a very interesting and contradictory north east part of Italy.
