Described by Time Magazine as ‘a lethal comedy’, Symposium centres around a dinner party and the lives of the five couples in attendance,
including a burglary ring, a convent of Marxist nuns and several unexplained deaths. A devilish tale.

Review
As I entered my teens, I developed a taste for more arch, snappy writing and discovered the joys of Muriel Spark. Wisdom and wit ― ideal for an impressionable youth finding his way in the world'. -

An enjoyable little novel which is full of Ms Spark's idiosyncratic witticisms and one which I read from cover to cover in one sitting. It's not my favourite of the author's many novels, but I always enjoy Muriel Sparks' writing and this novel will be one that will stay on my bookshelves to read and enjoy again.
