Last One Out
by Jane Harper
Last One Out by Jane Harper is the story of a dying town in rural Australia and the pressures on the local community as a big mining company takes it over. A couple’s son disappears, and the mystery of what happened to him is gradually revealed. This is quite a slow, evocative book, and if you listen to the audiobook in particular, the voice of the mother will stay with you.
