“Richard Burger and Lucy Salazar are an archaeological team that work out of Yale University, and they assembled this very nice collected book of seven chapters, all by different authors. It’s a good balance of archaeologists and anthropologists, who go through the basics: what was Machu Picchu, what is its meaning. It has wonderful images, really great sketches and photographs to give you a sense of the site, and a great bibliography.
