Belinda Jack is Fellow and Tutor in French at Christ Church, University of Oxford and Professor of Rhetoric at Gresham College. She is the author of an acclaimed biography of George Sand, George Sand: A Woman’s Life Writ Large and of Beatrice’s Spell. The Woman Reader is her fifth book.
