Philip Barker is a sports writer, broadcaster and Olympic historian. He has reported on every Olympic Games since 1996 and has also covered the Olympic Winter Games on three occasions. He carried the Olympic torch in 1996 and 2012. He has worked in television for over thirty years and is a regular columnist for InsidetheGames.biz and contributor to Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack. He is the author of The Story of the Olympic Torch and Lord’s Firsts.
