Winnie the Pooh: The Complete Collection
A.A. Milne, E.H. Shepard (illustrator)
One of the cutest set of children’s stories, Winnie-the-Pooh, first published in a book in 1926, remains popular around the world (the image of the famous bear was even banned in China in 2017, after internet memes picked up on a likeness between Pooh and Chinese President Xi Jinping). The author, A.A. Milne, based the stories on a teddy bear owned by his son, Christopher Robin, who also features in the books, along with several of his other toy animals. The Winnie-the-Pooh stories were illustrated by E.H. Shepard (who also illustrated The Wind in the Willows, another classic children’s book).
