In Sapiens: A Graphic History, Israeli historian and public intellectual worked with comics artists Daniel Casanave and David Vandermeulen to adapt his bestselling history of humankind into comic book form: “With Yuval Noah Harari as your guide, and accompanied by characters such as prehistoric Bill, Dr Fiction and Detective Lopez, you are invited to take a ride on the wild side of history.” Unfortunately for anyone reading this, human beings are the baddies in this tale, but probably that’s a plus for teenagers, the age group the book is aimed at.
