The Trouser People

Follows in Sir George Scott’s footsteps to learn more about contemporary Burma. The British colonial rulers were called “the trouser people” by the Burmese because they didn’t wear longyis (sarongs) as all Burmese, male and female, do. The book is very well written and captures daily life in today’s Burma in an excellent way.
