Quick Reads, published every year by the Reading Agency, are short books designed to help struggling readers, particularly those who find a longer text challenging. The books are often written by bestselling authors and are designed to encourage reading for pleasure.
Reading is such a joy, it’s worth spending time getting into it—whether you’ve never read much before or just fell out of the habit. The books below are all new books, published in 2025, as Quick Reads. They are short (just over 100 pages) with a large font size, and light enough to carry around easily to read on the bus or while waiting for an appointment. They are also entertaining, with a choice of different genres, including romance and crime. In addition, The Mind Manual gives advice on mental health, a challenge for many of us.
