Sometimes people ask about e-readers that are not made by Amazon. The other leading e-book brand is the Rakuten Kobo range (Kobo being an anagram of…book). The Kobo Clara 2E is the mid-range model. It’s waterproof with a responsive 6-inch display. Battery life is good. In the UK and other countries, Kobos have the advantage that they can be used to borrow from public libraries with a valid library card.
