Dr. Arthur J Ammann is an American pediatric immunologist. He is president and founder of Global Strategies and a Clinical Professor of Pediatric Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco. He was the first person to discover that children could get the disease and to report HIV in blood transfusions. His book, Lethal Decisions, chronicles the history of HIV infection and the mistakes that were made—particularly in the treatment of women and children in the developing world.
