Professor Francesco Izzo is a Professor of Music at the University of Southampton. He is Co-Director of the American Institute for Verdi Studies and general editor of the critical edition of The Works of Giuseppe Verdi. He is frequently invited as a speaker, contributor of program notes, and consultant at opera houses, festivals, and media outlets, including the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne, the Welsh National Opera, and the BBC.
